Balfin opens its doors to youth, internships provided for vocational school students

The link between business and vocational education in Albania is growing stronger. Balfin Group, which already has some agreements with private universities in Albania in student internships, has further expanded the scope of this cooperation. In fact, today, on the occasion of the Professional Practices Day within the European Week of Professional Skills, Balfin Group, through Human Resources Director Anjeza Kelmendi, signed a cooperation agreement with Swisscontact for vocational schools supported by "Skills for Work" project, in order to improve the quality of vocational education and training provision in the country.

Balfin Group has agreed to open its Companies doors to vocational school students, who will be able to put their theoretical knowledge in use, under the continuous care of the best field experts, who operate within Group companies.
In the case in matter, the special cooperation that the Group signed today in Tirana with the professional school "Gjergj Canco", will provide various forms of support for this school as:
• The provision of gradual development schemes for students (business open days, success stories at school, staff as teachers, students observing employees during their work etc.)
• Providing of internships for school students in business premises or in distance
• Providing knowledge update for school teachers
• Sponsorship in the form of school contribution and / or for the students
• Continuous relationship with the school, with the participation of the Balfin Group in school activities
• Participation in continuous and final assessment of students
• Contribution to curricula improvement or the development of new school curricula
• Qualification of internship's mentors
• Registration as a professional training provider

The above co-operation will also apply to other vocational schools that are part of the project.
Attendees at the event arranged for this special purpose at the Gjergji Canco School premises, emphasized the fact that in recent years the growing focus of donors from countries such as Austria, Germany and Switzerland, as well as business awareness to deepen links with institutions of vocational education has led more and more young people to orient themselves towards this education as a guarantee for safe employment for them in their future.
The European Union has agreed to finance 50 million euros in Albania in the coming years, regarding the vocational education field, which can make the integration of students into businesses easier, which will help also business that do operate with up-to-date technologies and methods, as it is the case of Balfin Group.
